Vestibular/Concussion Management
Specialized therapy for balance restoration and concussion recovery.
What is a concussion?
A concussion is a type of mild brain injury following a blow to the head or body where your brain is violently shaken. Symptoms typically last 7-10 days with some lasting longer than 2 weeks depending on the severity.
How can physical therapy help?
PT can negate Post-Concussive Syndrome where the symptoms of your concussion persist for longer than 10-14 days.
Patients who receive early PT return to activity 10.5 days sooner with symptoms lasting 3.5 days less than those who do not receive PT. 95% of patients experience full restoration of brain function following treatment.
